The HS230 is a second generation programmable Hall effect sensor designed in mixed signal BiCMOS technology. The device integrates a voltage regulator, a Hall sensor with an advanced offset cancellation system, and an open-drain output driver, all in a single package.
With built-in reverse protection, no series diode is required on the power line, so even remote sensors can operate at low voltages as low as 2.5V while being reverse voltage tolerant. The open-drain output is protected against short circuits by built-in current limiting.
The HS230 has a set of programmable parameters that can be adjusted in the application to achieve the highest system accuracy by compensating for mechanical tolerances.
The IC is available in a SOT package for surface mount and a single in-line TO-9 flat package for direct insertion. Both packages are lead (Pb) free with 100% matte tin lead frame plating.
